Window into a  world

September-November 2025

For this assignment, I collaborated with Merel van Avesaath to create a window into a world. We’re both huge fans of nostalgia and, honestly, big kids at heart. Our goal was to capture that feeling of pure glee both for ourselves and for anyone who experiences the piece. We hope it encourages people to carry their inner child with them wherever they go. There’s nothing quite like childlike wonder.

This quickly became one of my personal favourite projects of the entire Minor.

We challenged ourselves by combining TouchDesigner, MediaPipe, camera’s and blanket-fort building..

Abstraction

October-November 2025

This project is an abstract visual interpretation of a poem about time, eclipses, and shifting emotions. Using TouchDesigner, After Effects, and hand-drawn elements from Procreate, I created layered visuals that follow the poem’s colour and mood changes. The work is projected onto my ceiling lamp and ceiling, creating a soft, immersive atmosphere. A spoken reading of the poem ties the sound and visuals together into one experience.

Dancing Door 2.0 Tutorial

October 2025

For the Dancing Door project, I originally created a version back in April. During my minor, I decided to revisit the concept and build a new version in October. This made the tutorial assignment especially enjoyable, because it allowed me to integrate a personal project directly into the minor.

I recorded my process while working on the new version and edited it in a social-media style: short, clear, and straight to the point. It’s the kind of video I’d personally stop for, watch, and save to try later. That’s exactly the experience I wanted to create.

Made in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

Shifting context

November 2025

Fortunaat is a context-shifted ATM inspired by everyday digital interfaces like Geldmaat. Instead of withdrawing money, users “withdraw” moments of luck, fate, or chance. What first seems like a normal, trustworthy machine slowly reveals its true identity: a twisted, Black-Mirror-esque fortune teller that lets you feel like you’re choosing your future...while subtly reminding you that you never fully are.

Made in Adobe After Effects,(Illustrator) and Audio in Ableton Live
